Retired pipe fitter, Jean-Pierre Benincasa enjoys his passion for pottery and the raku technique.
Jean-Pierre offers raku workshops (Japanese method). Taken out of the hoven at 980°C to create a temperature shock on sandstone pieces (from Saint-Amant en Puisaye, Nièvre), then enamelled with oxides to give them their final colour, and finally dipped wood chips and covered. Take out the pieces 10 to 15 min and cool them quickly, finish and cleaning.
